​Overview
Civicon was appointed to deliver a major civil engineering programme at Cardiff Airport, focused on upgrading critical runway and taxiway infrastructure. Working in a live operational environment, our team managed complex airside works to ensure long-term resilience, safety, and efficiency across the runway and taxiways.

Scope of Works

Pit & Ducting Installation – providing new ducting systems.

Drainage Works – upgrades and repairs along with the installation of CIPP liners to strengthen stormwater resilience.

Fillet Excavation & Groundworks – excavation and reconstruction to expand infrastructure footprint.

Concrete Plinths for Sign Bases – new structural supports.

Emergency Response Support – providing rapid repair capability for patching and operational safety.

Landscaping – Reinstatement of large-scale habitat areas

Delivery Approach
Civicon coordinated closely with Associated Asphalt and Cardiff Airport stakeholders to manage works safely and efficiently. By leveraging data-driven planning and digital reporting, we minimised disruption to airport operations and maintained clear communication with all project partners.
