Civicon was engaged to provide project management support for a major resurfacing programme at the Falklands MOD airfield. This high-profile project required the resurfacing of critical runway and taxiway assets in one of the most challenging and remote operational environments in the world.

Delivery Approach
Working in partnership with Mitie and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Civicon provided project management expertise to ensure the successful delivery of this £23M programme. Our responsibilities included stakeholder engagement, risk management, and maintaining transparent client reporting throughout the 20-week delivery period.
Operating in a remote environment, the project required close coordination of logistics, plant, and materials, as well as robust planning to manage weather and environmental challenges. Civicon’s leadership and digital reporting helped maintain momentum and transparency while ensuring full compliance with MOD standards.​
